| The Reverend David A. Dingwall, Rector Father David began his ministry as Rector of Saint Paul's by-the-Sea in October of 2005. This is his first parish in The Episcopal Church after having been born, raised, educated and ordained in Canada. Father David grew up on the west coast of Canada and made his first eastward venture to attend seminary at The College of Emmanuel and Saint Chad in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. After graduating in 1988 with an MDIV he was ordained to the diaconate of The Anglican Church of Canada in May of 1988. He was ordained to the priesthood in December of that same year in the parish of Christ Church Alert Bay where he was serving as Rector and also Priest-In-Charge of Saint George's Kingcome Inlet.
After serving as Rector of three parishes for over fifteen years in the province of British Columbia, Father David, his wife Brenda, their three sons and their dog Minnie moved to Maryland's Eastern Shore in 2003. While awaiting his Green Card Father David served as Voluntary Visiting Priest at St. Mary's Whitechapel Parish, Christ Church Denton, in Denton Maryland. He is particularly thankful for this time as the people of the parish provided him with a gracious introduction to life in The Diocese of Easton, The Episcopal Church and, perhaps most importantly, to life on the Eastern Shore.
Father David is passionate about the parish's mission statement: "building a faithful people of God" and invites everyone to "get connected" in whatever way they can.
